For people that have experiences with these.. why should I get one and not the other. I am completely torn.

As a reference, I have a Blackberry Curve. I have an upgrade on my verizon plan. I love most of what the Blackberry does, but I hate the way applications bog down, I hate the internet, and Im pretty sure most smart phones these days can get me emails about as quick anyway (which is the main reason I got it).

As you can see by my signature, I find rental properties for a living. I really want to be able to do more work with my phone, like better document hosting (my leasing spreadsheet), better contact management, and of course better internet.

So ya, Im down to these two (open to suggestions if something is truly better), but really cant decide.

That chart compares both of them side-by-side, along with the LG Ally and the Incredible.

Basically, if you're going to watch a lot of movies, get the Droid X as it is both HD compatible and has a bigger screen. If you need it to take pictures, it has a better camera as well.

The Droid 2 will act more like a Blackberry with the attached keyboard. Droid 2 also comes with Froyo already installed, so there's no waiting for the update (come on already!!!!) like the rest of us have.

I love the Droids, as I use the Incredible myself. However, if you're using this phone for primarily email, make sure you research that your accounts are compatible. My Yahoo! Account only gets the email when the 3G Mobile service is activated and not over Wi-Fi. There is also a ten-minute delay on what "pushes" to the phone if you're not using GMail. However, there is a refresh button in the E-Mail widget that will pull the contents of your email at the moment you push it. (However, this may be a non-issue with the Froyo update... my Inc hasn't gotten that yet).

My yahoo account forwards to my Suddenlink home account (which can receive and send at home, but can only receive at work.. know how to fix this?).

so as long as its compatible with Windows mail, I should be fine. It not, I can have my yahoo account forward to my gmail account.

I already have google voice and I use goog411 every day.

Got the DroidX last Friday after leaving the iPhone (loved) and AT&T (HATED!!!).

Loving the X so far..pretty sweet hardware...still getting everything else set up.

Funny thing, I too have an iPhone that I really like but am dumping it (and AT&T) for the Droid X. I originally wanted the D2 for the keyboard, but I don't text that much, and I'd rather have the better camera since the photos I take will last longer than the phone.

The huge Droid X screen will give you plenty of room to get comfortable with the on screen keyboard.

Upgraded to iPhone 4 from 3G. After one week I said good bye to AT&T and the iPhone. The 4 was terrible (more than just an antenna problem) and I was never happy with AT&T.

Received my Droid X two days before it hit the store. Cool.

At first I wasn't impressed with the X. However, now I'm totally sold. It does so much so fast. You really have to take time to learn it because you can really set it up to suit your own needs. I'm still discovering new ways to set it up and use it.

A colleague has the Sprint Droid (I forget which model) and he is jealous of the X and all the new features offered.

One of my favorite things about the X? I use the stereo jack to output phone calls to my speakers in the car. No big deal but I do this for hands free calling. The mic on the X works great even when the phone is mounted on my dash! I use this set up daily. Most phones, including my iPhone, cut off the mic when you plug into the stereo jack so that you can use a bud mic and headset. No, I don't have Bluetooth in my truck! LOL

As for slide out keyboards, I often wished the iPhone had that capability as I had Windows phones with slide out keyboards before the iPhone. With the X I no longer have the desire to have a slide out keyboard. When in landscape mode the keyboard is huge and extremely effective. Furthermore, the speed and the way the X gives you word choices on the fly is amazing. I'm now convinced that I can type email faster on the X than any other phone I've had. And, as you can see from this post, I can get rather long winded! LOL
