havent got past may 29th yet....Camera doesn't work yet, there's a glitch or two in things like charging LED, roaming (seen in screenshots), and no sign of 4G yet (I am in a coverage area, so we can definitely work to get that going).

5/30 - LOL

* 4G doesn't /appear/ to be working, but I was kind of expecting that, since it's not only the first 4G phone on the market (not even "really" on the market yet), it's the first running android, and mine in particular is the first running Froyo.. So, big surprise
* Camera does not work at all, which again is not surprising.. HTC has modified the hell out of the camera libraries (and Camera app), in order to support the kick ass camera in this phone. From what I can tell, Froyo still doesn't support more than 1 camera out of the box, so getting both cameras working is going to be pretty challenging anyway, unless we just port the HTCCamera.apk app. This one is a killer for me, and I'm sure many others, because the camera on this phone is truly amazing.
* MMS on first test, appears not to be working: I sent an MMS from my Hero to the EVO, and I get the message, and it has the Download button, but doesn't seem to actually download it.. Still more testing to do (and I think toast said he may have a fix for this, if it isn't working)

This looks awfully like the change logs from the Hero root process.

HaveGoodGetGive- You are talking about running a rough initial froyo rom which isn't the point. You don't have to run that rom because you root...this is the thread for the froyo rom:

this rom was just a dirty kang of the Nexus One update from google. for the most part its usable. meaning most things work. the down fall are the thing that dont.

What works:
- basic android
- JIT of course
- A2SD google style
- data
- phone
- hw3d

What doesnt work:
- cameras < i believe that it may be possible to fix at least the main cam. will work on this first
- mms < send can be fixed i know for sure. will come in next build
- 4G DATA < maejrep was working on this a bit. still not sure how 4G works just yet. i will look into it
- tethering < at the moment, its no dice

I will be rooting but not running a froyo rom until the above items are fixed.
