Sad that what should be one of the most highly sought after jobs is going to be void of good candidates due to avoidance of that circus. Only way to change things is to change the owner.

I am not surprised that the Cowboys are parting ways with Mike McCarthy. The decision to walk away from McCarthy is not solely about a 7-10 record in 2024, it's about his five years as head coach. Ultimately, McCarthy was hired to get the Cowboys to at least an NFC Championship Game, a spot they have not been in since 1995. In three postseason chances, it didn't happen. McCarthy led the Cowboys to 3 straight 12-5 regular season finishes from 2021 to 2023, but he went 1-3 in the playoffs, including 0-2 at home.
