...is greater than the gap between the top and bottom of the SEC.

True or false?

My argument for liking nfl over pros has always been the parity, but it's getting worse and worse with the nfl. There are about 6 good teams in the nfl this year and then about 4 decent teams and everything else is trash.

I guess my point is that the SEC is playing more like a pro league than the NFL. I'm fine with that.

Yeah that's the NFL.

10 teams make the playoffs...6 division winners and 4 wild cards.

And typically teams that don't make the playoffs suck.

There's too many teams. They can't all find enough great players especially with limited budgets.

That is not typically the nfl.

This season might have playoffs locked up in 2 weeks.

False! I think the gap between the top and bottom teams in the NFL is smaller. Through the first 10 weeks, 82 of 152 games were decided by 7 points or fewer and 11 more games were decided by 8 points. Good teams find ways to win close games, but they also win some games by double digits. The NFC North is the best division with 3 teams with a 7-3 record or better: 9-1 Lions, 8-2 Vikings, and 7-3 Packers. Even the 4-6 Bears, NFC's north last place team has more wins than 9 other NFL teams.

Top of NFL isn't 3-4 TD favorites against bottom of NFL like in the SEC

Apparently the Detroit lions should be...

No, but NFL games are lower scoring and are designed to not get out of hand. A 34-10 game in the NFL enters into a gentleman's agreement phase with about 10 minutes to go.

And I've seen Dallas get blown out 3 times this year as bad as anything I've seen in the SEC. And if Jacksonville plays Detroit 100 times, I'm not sure they'd have a better chance of winning than Miss. State would against Georgia.

Crazy we're even discussing this, though.

I think the gap is still closer in the NFL.

The current spread for the 6 SEC games this week has only 1 that is under a touchdown, and it's the one we should all be a bit concerned about, A&M (-2.5). At this time, the rest of the games are over 7, with Bama a 14 point favorite over OU, and Texas a 20 pt favorite over Kentucky.

There are 13 NFL games for next week, and only two games have a double-digit line: the Chiefs (-11) vs. the Panthers and Washington's football team (-10) over Jerry's team.
