This is a bad team. There are other bad teams in the league, but a lot of them have some young talent to build around. Who does Dallas have? The lack of promising young prospects is alarming. That is the most depressing part for Cowboys fans.

QB - Average at best QB with a monster contract. No young prospects.
RB - Worse collection of RBs in the league. No young prospects.
WR - CeeDee Lamb is one of the league's best. No other WRs worth mentioning. No young prospects.
TE - Average group of TEs. No young prospects.
OL - Best OIineman Martin is getting up there in age. Steele is pretty bad and overpaid. I suppose Tyler Smith and Guyton have some potential, but doesn't feel like either have an extremely high ceiling.

DL - Lawrence is a pro bowler. Interior Dline is bad. No young prospects.
LB - Parsons is a star, but do they even keep him around? Overshown only young prospect.
DBs - Diggs and Bland are solid. The safeties are average.

Not a pretty picture.

This is a fair assessment. They're on the cusp of being old and bad and expensive.

Extending Prescott on the first morning of the season was the absolute height of stupidity. Do the deal earlier, or preferably make him play the season to earn his new contract.

I think Parsons is above average, but not great (just like Dak). If you make him the highest paid defensive player, then they are idiots

Several of their young prospects have been injured and I think you're selling some short.

DBs - Carson is well thought of but has been injured
Safety - Bell was good last season but has been battling injuries. Thomas is the same story.
OL - Tyler Smith is a monster, Beebe has been solid as a rook and Guyton has had his rookie moments.
DL - Sam Williams was hurt before the first game, definitely showed promise his rookie season and was supposed to start. Kneeland was really good until he got hurt.
TE - Ferguson is one of the better young TEs in the game, they just have failed to utilize him for whatever reason. Beginning to think Schoonmaker is another Michigan bust.

If they let him walk, there will be a line out the door. He is what you build your defense around- him and Diggs. Gotta have elite pass rushers or there is ZERO chance at a Super Bowl.

Fully expect Micha to be the highest paid DL.

Trade him for multiple picks in the draft. Gotta get young and save cap room space to pay other players. You can't put all your money on 4-5 guys and expect to win.
