Why don't the players use the protective "Bubble Helmets" in games??

They wear them in practice to avoid injury, why not in games when the hitting is more violent?

Are they cumbersome? Do they restrict vision? Or, is it an optics issue?

Seems with the specter of traumatic brain injuries that wearing them would mitigate possible law suits in the future? Or, even better prevent injuries?

Do you think it's a viable alternative?

This is the first season they will be allowed to.

So we will see how many wear them.

Like redag said, this is the first season they'll be allowed to wear them in-game.

It was pretty notable last weekend that Jonathan Taylor was wearing one in their preseason game

As I was told many years ago by a crusty old Green Beret Master Sergeant, "If it's stupid, but it works, it isn't stupid."
