I had a situation in my longtime keeper league -- playing in the same league for more than 20 years:
I was actively involved in negotiating a trade with another team owner. We'd been working out details for the trade for about three days -- as it is a keeper league. We'd worked out the players, and we were working an agreement on future draft picks, negotiating if the pick was going to be a 5th or 6th rounder. So -- we were close.
While I awaited a response, the owner accepted a similar deal with another team with that 3rd team's owner giving up the 5th.
The owner I was negotiating with didn't give the heads up that he was negotiating with another team. I found out about the trade, while still waiting for a response.
Now, my question is this: As a fantasy owner, when you are negotiating trades and have several teams interested in the same player, do you let the owners know there are others interested?
Shame on me for not thinking there were other discussions, but if I'm, in that position where I'm talking to multiple teams about the same player, I'm at least going to give the owners a heads-up that they are negotiating against each other.
