Why is he so beloved? He's not a "bad" coach, but why is he so hyped? Never had a losing record, but he gets way too much credit, imo

you know the answer

his winning garbage games at the end of seasons to save his .500 record has cost them draft capital, and now their offense is complete garbage

Lifelong Steeler fan and Tomlin apologist.

The players seem to connect with him and he always "has" the locker room under control. My biggest gripe is he is slow to move off of bad decisions but that's also emblematic of the franchise.

Canada should be gone last year. Pickett may not be the answer but they let some O line talent walk 3 years ago.

For an NFL coach to go 16 seasons without a losing record is pretty incredible.

Sure there is some luck involved, but the guys that have a streak that long are Landry, Belichick and Halas, and none of them could escape a losing season.

Brady made Belechik, Rothlesberger made Tomlin, 3 Hall of famers on the same roster made Popovich.

This. He had Big Ben, LeVeon Bell, and Antonio Brown all in the locker room at the same time and still kept it under control.

I was thinking he had Big Ben, LeVeon, and Antonio --- and didn't accomplish enough with them

the last 10 seasons...he's been Jeff Fisher

Agree as a lifelong steelers fan. His qualities are more in team chemistry/motivation, but he leaves something to be desired as a gameday coach, is not great at talent evaluation with his role in drafting guys, and he along with the Steelers org are painfully slow to move away from poor assistants, and generally just let their contract play out, which is what they're doing this year with Canada. That guy should have never been hired, then never put in the OC role, and should have been fired last year.

The .500 record or better is impressive and I don't mean to diminish it...but at this point in Tomlin's career maybe he needs a losing season or 2 to get some juice back. This team has spent a decade going nowhere fast, and Kenny Pickett is not the answer.

For better or worse, the Steelers view organizational stability as a top priority. They've won 6 Super Bowls, so I can't really knock them.

Lots of teams out there begging to have the success the Steelers have had over the past 10+ years....maybe

Tomlin should count himself lucky. The guy he replaced wound up coaching the Gotham Rogues and then this **** happened.

Sure. I guess he's the first coach to have a HOF QB

just the facts...

the Steelers have won 3 playoff games in the last 10 years...

just 1 more than the Texans have won in the past 10 years.

the Bengals have won 5 playoff games in the last 10 years

there is definitely an "emperor has no clothes" thing developing
