As a guy who typically streams defense, I generally I try to avoid starting a defense that is playing against one of my higher profile offensive guys because if that guys booms then the defense suffers or vice versa, which results in a fewer net points gained.

I have Fields at QB, who has struggled so far this year, and grabbed KC off the wire this week.

Feels like FIelds is still a start for one or two more weeks in case he finds what he had for the back half of last year, but I'm wondering if anybody here has thoughts on just playing KC and letting it ride since Fields hasn't been great, or pivot to other wire options (Jags, Seahawks, Raiders, Titans, Panthers are top 5 available).

OP I understand the approach and the pursuit of a higher variance outcome. But…it feels like that would be a very marginal benefit.

Most of the DST points come from touchdowns on int/fumble returns or kick returns…I think. And those have a fairly low correlation to any of your offensive players. If you're worried about the DST pitching a shutout and getting some bonus points there, should you be playing those offensive players anyway?

Jameis used to be great to play alongside his opposing D
handout pick 6s like candy which is no biggie since just gets him the ball back to keep gun-slingin
