Correct. I went to a few Roughnecks games last season with my son and a buddy, and while not nearly the same quality as NFL, the atmosphere was fun. They've built up a decent-sized following, and if that name/brand goes away, I'm not sure they'd take to the Gamblers as quickly.

the XFL's Houston Roughnecks and Vegas Vipers as well as the USFL's Houston Gamblers, New Jersey Generals, New Orleans Breakers, Philadelphia Stars, and Pittsburgh Maulers as teams that could be left out of the potential merger.

I've watched a game or two (or at least had the TV on while doing something else). College football could learn a little something about television commercial management and length of game.
