Week 16 and 17 are the weeks that matter for me so those are the weeks I am highlighting here. For some people, you have clinched your spot and week 14 doesn't mean anything so you can focus on setting up your team for the playoffs. That is exactly what I plan to do this week.
So who are the offenses to target to face?
The next tier down of offenses to target include the following teams who are all over 7 points allowed on average:
So who plays these teams during the fantasy playoffs (week 16 / 17)?
Narrowing down teams that show up both weeks with the above opponents:
So the one problem with these 3 defenses being the ones you are now set to target, they have not scored many points this season. They are ranked 2nd, 4th, and 6th to last having scored just 49, 50, and 58 points on the season. That being said, the Browns put up 30 against Houston this week and LAC put up 12 against LV. Detroit recently had a 3 week stretch of 10+ points and last time they played Chicago they put up 10.
If you wanted to load up 2 defenses, maybe target these groups:
I have my own conundrum in one league where I have Dallas who has been great but they have a tough schedule. They get Philly in Dallas in week 16 and then play @ Tennessee in week 17. Tennessee is an ok matchup, but Philly is pretty rough so I am probably going to try and target one of the week 16 defenses to add for precautionary purposes. In my other league I am carrying Cleveland, I will probably hold onto them and target adding a 2nd defense, probably the Chargers.
