with Gronk a constant injury concern, you have to wonder if the Pats will change their offense up.

IF the Pats have an out in his contract about getting arrested for murder, etc (I have not clue if they do), would they still have to take the cap hit if they release him?

Hernandez isn't the only NFL'er arrested on charges related to murder (or attempted, at least) today.
...so he's got that going for him, which is nice.

yep, you know the patriots organization is well-connected to the Boston police department. If the pats released him...it's bad. NFL teams hang onto their all-pro caliber thugs until the bitter, bitter end...and then some

Brian Billick has an interesting take on the release in the fact that when someone asks anyone related to the Pats about Hernandez the response is simply he's no longer a member of the organization.
Say what you want but that's nails by the Pats organization. Sure, they probably have some knowledge of what's going on but they made a quick decision Aaron Hernandez isn't worth the effort going forward. They don't want the media distraction.
And yet they signed Tebow...

This has had me thinking of Manziel. Isn't it wonderful that we have a player that our main concern is his idiotic use of Twitter? Kind of puts things in perspective.

And I hear some of what people are saying but you do not arrest someone shirtless at their home for obstructin of justice. That warrant was issued last week and they could have picked him up before today in a less public way. Defense lawyers would have used that against the police stating they were trying to make Hernandez look. No my friends. This is what we call murder.

I have to think that the no frills arrest today had to in part stem from the comments made by his defense lawyer yesterday.
He claimed his client was named in multiple frivolous and unsubstantiated rumors of an arrest warrant etc.

They generally are only going to let you turn yourself in when you are at least demonstrating some level of cooperation.

The dude is in big... BIG... trouble! I wonder if part of him was proud of the arrest, like part of him thinks he's like the alpha male now... played in the NFL and now arrested for Murder.
"King Kong ain't got $#*% on me!!!!"
And I wonder if that part of him fights with another part of him that told him last night, "nice house, nice comfy bed, did I just $%#@ up???!!!"

Something tells me this dude has always been a child.
But hey, at least now he has street cred.

Murder charges. Phone records show multiple texts between Hernandez, his two friends, and the victim. Hernandez telling his friends to "get your ass up here." Defendant observed with a firearm on camera, states on camera he "can't trust anyone anymore", then they depart. He's screwed. Apparently they got their hands on surveillance footage and phone records that Hernandez thought he got rid of.
Text message to victim from Hernandez to victim "we're here." Surveillance shows Hernandez driving the car when victim got in. They tracked him through Boston via surveillance.

Went to club Friday with victim, the victim apparently pissed off Hernandez, Hernandez said he "couldn't trust him." Someone who was in the car has been relaying these conversations to police...somebody snitched. He's hosed. Going down.
2:55p, 6/26/13
Surveillance shows car driven by Hernandez driving to factory area. Car disappears from surveillance footage. Factory workers hear gunshots. Car driven by Hernandez leaves scene. Car driven by Hernandez reaches his driveway.

Or they are taking their time because it is so high profile. No room for mistakes with his defense team

yup. At least one has snitched. The cut off to his road to his house is forked to the road down to the industrial park area where the shooting happened. surveillance sees his car drive down that road towards industrial park, gunshots are heard, then his car caught on surveillance coming back to his house.
sounds like they have the whole night pretty well accounted for.

I don't know why the idiot didn't know the phone records are saved no matter what he did to the phone.
The evidence they have on him sounds pretty solid.

.45 caliber gun used. Victim was shot while on ground. All the timing makes sense from surveillance footage. No way he's going to get away with this. Seen on his home surveillance digging through car, his associate seen with gun. Hernandez walks through house with large caliber gun in his hand. They all go to the basement. Surveillance gets shut off when they are in basement.
Rental agency footage shows damage to side mirror, mirror was intact before they went to the factory.

people have to have watched first 48. If you're gonna do someone, don't use your phone and don't let them have their phone on them. Also, don't murder dude right behind your house in a neighborhood with surveillance all over. Also, don't murder.
