crap. i wasn't aware of that.

Why do you pick them to lose the Thursday night opener? That crowd will be WILD. Plus, with #4 doing his usual, we don't know who will be playing QB for the Vikings.

That's the only pick where my decision had nothing to do with matchups or anything. Total gut feeling.

I'm a lifelong Saints fan. I know the score. The football gods let us have a lot of fun a few months ago. I think it's possible that they drop a bomb on us in Week 1 to keep us grounded. I also freely admit that the Saints stole the game versus the Vikings in the playoffs, and it's only fair that we give one back to them.

I'll be at the game, and it's just my luck that they'll lose (see last year's Cowboy game). Then again, after the Super Bowl performance, maybe my luck in attending games is changing.
