Howdy! I wanted to put this out here for two close buddies of mine from my time in the Army who are both looking to transition into civilian careers. Obviously both are actively doing their own research as well but I have found TexAgs to be an invaluable community full of great folks and resources and thought I would go here as well on their behalves.

The first is currently an active-duty Field Artillery Captain and will be separating from the Army in about 10 months. He graduated from West Point with a STEM background and will have about 6 years of active-duty experience once he is out, including time as a platoon leader and battery commander. He is extremely sharp, a strong leader, and has significant experience managing people, equipment, logistics, planning, and operations.

He is primarily looking at opportunities in management, operations, supply chain, logistics, project management, or similar roles. He also has a bit of a background in coding. He has a young family with two toddlers and would ideally like to end up somewhere in the Southeast like Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, etc.

The second is also a former Field Artillery Officer and has been out of the Army since April of this year. He is currently in North Carolina with his young family and is looking for something he can start as soon as possible. He graduated from High Point University with a background in Business/Supply Chain management. He is a strong leader with solid experience in logistics, operations, personnel management, planning, and coordinating people and equipment. Interested in roles in operations, project management, logistics, supply chain, or general management.

He would prefer to stay in the Carolinas/Southeast if possible, but he is open to relocating for the right opportunity.

I served with both of these guys and can personally vouch for their character, work ethic, and leadership ability. If anyone here knows of companies looking for strong leaders with their type experience, I'd really appreciate any leads or introductions.

Also, if there are any resources that yall know of that they should be looking into, that would be awesome as well.

Thanks TexAgs!

A gentleman, Aggie, and Marine spoke last week at a networking event I've started attending.

He's active in this organization that your buddies need to be aware of and should take a look at.

Hard to recommend jobs without more information but I took a look at some positions at my company in Supply Chain specifically around the greater southeast region.

If there does happen to be a potential fit and interest, please email me at username @ gmail and I can see about sending a special link to apply as a referral versus what anyone else might do to apply. Every little bit helps.
