I have a little over 8 years of experience in cyber security and have been working as a cloud security analyst for the past year for a major financial institution everyone has heard of. I was laid off from my prior job so the options weren't plentiful. That said, cloud security is my passion and this job has been a great learning experience. But I'm a little burned out since I'm essentially a glorified SOC analyst who handles cloud alerts. They use AWS, GCP, and Azure. I'd really like to get into more of a hands on engineering role or even along the lines of governance/compliance focus. I just don't want to do SOC work anymore.
If anyone knows of any open opportunities I would really appreciate it.
