Position Overview
Republic Engineering & Development Services is looking for a Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor for their Temple/Belton, Texas office. Located about an hour north of Austin, Texas, the Temple/Belton area is a growing community that has a small town feel with all the comforts of the big city. In this position you will be responsible for the entirety of the survey department. The survey department deliverables include topographical surveys, boundary surveys, subdivision plats, purchase surveys, elevation certificates, construction staking, etc. The RPLS will be the head of the survey department and be in charge of all field crew personnel.

Job Responsibilities
Participate in all survey aspects of our projects including planning, entitlements, civil design, platting, surveying, reports, plans, and approvals. Project work may include boundary surveys, topographical surveys, Purchase surveys, construction staking , and other miscellaneous survey projects.
Utilize Trimble Robotic Total Station and Trimble GNSS hardware
Utilize AutoCAD software to disseminate field information to designers.
Apply technical skills to meet project demands, recommend new approaches/ideas to improve a projects efficiency and solve problems for our clients.
Collaborate with team members, clients and governmental agencies on project tasks and assignments.
Must be adaptable, well organized, accountable, dependable, and self-sufficient.
Preform other duties as requested.
Tasks will be mainly centered around residential and commercial developments.

As a drafter you will be primarily responsible for designing and producing civil plan sets for residential land development and/or commercial site development projects. This also includes implementing and managing AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards to be applied across the company.

Review plan sets, with/without other team member, for errors and conflicts.
Perform takeoffs for various project types.
Apply technical skills to meet project demands, recommend new approaches/ideas to improve the company's drafting efficiency, and maintain the company's drafting templates and standards.
Collaborate with team members, clients and governmental agencies on project tasks and assignments.
Mentor and teach other team members within the company on drafting related topics and practices.
Must be adaptable, well organized, accountable, dependable, and self-sufficient.
