How long do you want to ignore this user?
Howdy Ags,

I am looking for a part-time door to door sales person to beat the bushes so-to-speak in the areas we have our fiber internet available. Our areas are listed as the pink areas in the map here: https://gis.brazosfiber.com/public_data/map.php

Ideally, this would be a part-time nights/weekend type thing when residents are home. Bilingual would be great but not required.

Pay is $20/hr + $200 sales bonus after the customer has paid $200 worth of internet service (2-3 months).

It's a pretty simple pitch, "Flat rates", "No Contracts", "No Fees", "No data limits"

I'll try to check back here and answer questions.
If you don't see me reply soon enough, send me an email at jim@brazoswifi.com

Thanks & Gig'Em

Surprisingly, yes.
We are getting beat-up in Franklin by door-to-door guys offering prices that are "better" than ours but then the customer gets the bill filled with extra fees and it is more than our flat rates.

Also, astonishingly people somehow don't know we installed fiber internet in their area despite us spending weeks tearing up their yard and having signs out on the roads.

I think some folks are so oblivious that it will take someone knocking on their door for them to know we exist.

That's good. I would never buy from someone selling something door to door.

same. I'm glad it works for you but anyone coming to my door isn't going to sell a damn thing to me. There use to be an exception for girl scout cookies, but my kid sells them now. Door-to-door has got to be a rough job, but anyone who can do that successfully can easily move into other sales roles b/c they understand how to get told no and keep trucking to find a sale.

I don't disagree with you guys but if you got someone who is clean cut and well spoken they can do ok.

$20/hr is $100/day take-home + 2-4 sales a day works out to some pretty darn good weekend money for college kids.

I worked part time for Jim a few years ago. I can vouch for both him and the company. He was great to work for.

Have you tried any of the door to door sales groups on Facebook? I see people looking for work there and advertising for salesman pretty regular. No better place to find salesman than the groups dedicated to help them improve their skills and craft. Might be a good place to recruit efficient or at least self starting sales guys.

TBH, I never knew that type of group existed.

Excellent tip!

Yep. My neighborhood facebook page basically keeps track of all the companies that go door to door as a do not use/blacklist.

Worst part is how tone deaf they all are. I'll never forget, nor use, hawk pest control, for example. It was after the hurricane or derecho, we have no power, I'm sweating and holding a crying baby, with my dog going ape **** because someone's at the door...and he wouldn't ****ing leave. Eventually I just closed the door on him.

D2d can be a kick in the ballz for sure. I sold books d2d one summer. It was the best and worst summer ever. It certainly builds character. I do show patience and respect to the d2d guys that come by (but still rarely buy what they're selling).
