My son just graduated in Dec. w a degree in English. Wants to go the writing route.

What's interesting about his background is that he went Aerospace Eng up until his last year. Decided that is not what he wants to do....

So, he had a 3.4 so he's a sharp kid. He has a great foundation of math, engineering, physics, etc. to go along with very strong writing skills. He's thinking something like technical writing that could use his STEM background.

There's gotta be plenty of opportunity since manuals exist in every facet of aviation from building, maintaining, to flying a plane. I'd look into the FAA or any of the big manufacturers like Boeing or Lockheed to name a few. There's also a shortage of air traffic controllers if that interests him.

Also check Bell/Textron's website. They won the FLRAA/V280 program and will need documentation.
