Job Overview:
Lewis Engineering is currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team (NIGHT SHIFT). As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts and components. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and adherence to specifications
- Make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and accuracy
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in optimal condition
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist (lathe experience preferred)
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Knowledge of CNC machining processes, tooling, and power tools
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
NIGHT SHIFT: 3:30pm - 2:00am Monday through Thursday
