Howdy!
I graduated this past May with an M.S. in Agricultural Economics. A general sense of what I studied was econometrics, economic theory, finance, agricultural policy, and real estate/land economics. My most recent work experience was as a community assistant for three years with an apartment complex, working in various capacities such as leasing, addressing account concerns, and assisting in day-to-day property management activities. I briefly worked in a summer research assistant role as well. Regretfully, I never took a summer internship mostly due to blackout periods for my job which took up the back end of the summer.
Since graduation, I have had a handful of interviews and advanced to the final round a couple of times with a commercial real estate company but have yet to land an offer. I am open to most analyst or coordinator roles. Pricing analyst positions I feel may be the most applicable to me but I am also interested in financial analyst roles as well. I would love to work within the agricultural, real estate, and manufacturing industries. Because of their ties to agriculture, grocery chains and food and beverage producers are also priority targets for me. I live in east Texas but I am very open to relocation throughout the state, though preferably in the DFW, Houston, or San Antonio area.
I have spent most of my time (aside from job searching) learning career skills to help boost my profile. I believe my lack of relevant experience is a primary factor behind my unsuccessful job search thus far and so I am very willing to work in a "lower-level" position to get some experience under my belt.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks and Gig'em!
