Anyone know the Aggie led or owned companies in O&G that are operators? I run across some sporadically, but it's depressing to see so many tards and sips leading these companies.

Would like to see if I could go work for an Aggie or maybe I just need to start my own, lol.

to th OP, I'm not sure if you're focused on a specific area but would venture to say A&M has the largest or 1b largest with UT in relation to leadership positions at O&G companies across the value chain.

You will find some Tech and OU landbro companies but outside of double eagle boys or Mewbourne, I would be cautious with career.

Redemption Oil and Gas in San Antonio is owned by Jeff Bookout and awesome Ag as well as Walsh Petroleum in Midland by Tyler resident Fred Walsh. My company used to split a suite with Fred and you will not find two finer individuals than these two.

I wouldn't look for aggies as owners but for competence. Its a big world out there and the best come from all over. You search too hard just for an aggie owner and you'll find some old as dirt farmer who wants you to run a pump house and keep a fleet of ancient pump jacks running for the low low price of good experience.

It was more out of curiosity than job searching. I've run across plenty of competent Aggie bosses in O&G.

Yes, plenty of competence from other schools, but over time start to see patterns of personality and/or competence from certain schools.
