How long do you want to ignore this user?

I'm interested in working with some recruiting agency contacts I know to look for a new job. The contacts I know have helped me find employees in the past, and are even looking for some positions my company needs currently.

I'm trying to decide if there would be potential problems reaching out to these same recruiter contacts for my own career move. Would it be better to look for recruiters not already working for my current company?

Yes. Agency recruiters are typically not able to poach from their clients (your company). It could cause a lot of issues.

I've been on the Agency side for 12 years. Petrino makes a point that applies to some for sure, but I've seen many times the person looking does utilize their Agency connections to look for them as well. Even if it's just sharing their name out to their network.

Just tell them to keep it quiet, and you should be fine. It's in their best interest to find you a new role, so they could hire for you at your new company .
