Has anyone ever heard of these folks or interviewed with them? They're an insurance group out of Germany that somehow got my number and proceeded to run through an interview process via WhatsApp that has me seriously questioning the authenticity of the people I texted with and the offer itself.
I received a text from a "recruiter" stating that they found my resume on ZipRecruiter. This is possible as I'm currently seeking a job. They then referred me to the "Hiring Manager" who contacted me via WhatsApp and conducted the "interview" solely via text message. After answering some basic questions about the company and some "goals" type questions, they gave me a score of 91 out of 100 and said I would be a great candidate and offered me a position of Supply Chain & Logistics Manager. The kicker is I never applied for this role and nothing in my professional background is tailored towards supply chain and logistics.
They also want to provide me with a full suite of office equipment to set up an at-home office, computer (not unusual), company check in which to purchase said office equipment, training, etc. I requested they send me a formal offer letter, which they did from a non-company domain, however nothing looks official and my name is misspelled. There is a place at the bottom where I am to sign to accept the offer and provide all my banking and account info. Everything about this encounter screams scam, but wanted to consult with anyone on the jobs board in case they've been in a similar situation. This definitely has a "too good to be true" vibe to it and the fact that they want to send me a check to deposit screams scam right off the batt.
