Howdy!

I'm currently working at an Alternative Investments Firm and finishing up my Masters in the Dallas area. I'm looking to join a real estate private equity firm as an Investment Analyst after I finish my degree and would appreciate it if anyone in the industry, or with connections, could point me in the right direction. I've looked at and am reaching out to firms (Pennybacker Capital, Crow Holdings Capital Partners etc.), and any tips or advice on getting into the industry would be very helpful.

From the people I know at Crow Holdings you're either gonna have to know somebody or have some kind of family connections there. Otherwise it's gonna be really tough.

Mind if I ask what kind of Master's you have?

JLL....I work in commercial real estate and they just acquired the company I work for.

Thanks for all the help! I'll shoot an email to Hudson and JLL to see if I can get an in. I know some people at Crow so I'll work on trying to leverage those resources also. My background is engineering, and my masters is in the analytics area. My internship is year long (20 hrs/week) so I'll have a good financial background as well.
