Just started with them. Anyone have any current/recent experience with either of these positions? I'm curious about the difference between the two and the process and pay for each.
No experience with them, but congratulations. I have been putting in applications with them online like crazy. The end result is always the same, "We regret to inform you that you have not been chosen to continue in the recruitment process". Even for entry level jobs, but I keep applying. Where are you working out of? Again, congratulations.
Thanks, San Antonio. Was hoping to get some feedback about the positions (what they actually do) to see where they ultimately lead to as far as promotions (thinking long term here).
FOP is essentially their fast track to service supe. It is intense and you are expected to learn quickly. If they feel you are faltering, they'll remove you from the program immediately. I was told that, if removed, you are terminated - unsure if that is valid but the DM for their Coiled Tubing division out here in Odessa told me himself.
FA program is intended to groom you for sales. Whichever PSL they feel you're better suited is the one they place you in when your training is up. Not all folks advance to sales as I've heard some guys get offered middle management positions.
You right tpnick, it is about who you know. I would of though sure I could get some sort of entry level job working on the field for them. Someone said drive to Duncan and put in, my only question is would that be a waste of time and would they even talk to me there.
Hey dadsanag, what are the pay rates for each if you know? Really considering each one.
Simms, do you have a cdl? They seem to 'prefer' if you already have one as opposed to having put you thru their cdl school (end of the year thing I guess).
Isn't much but I wouldn't focus too heavily on it. The Coiled Tubing FOP spot paid $14/hr for starters. You climb ranks quickly and will get all the hours you can handle. You are also paid 70hrs(may have changed) for your week off.
Gig em, I do not have a CDL. Apparently I need to get one. I think I saw an ad the other day for a company in Jacksboro called Stevens Tanker that will train you and then you have a job hauling water around Ft Worth
On another note, good luck as on yalls game today. And thanks for allowing us fans of other teams o n here.
