General Job Description
This position is responsible for the organization, direction, execution and tracking of engineered products, services and programs supplied to customers. The project manager will assemble project teams by recruiting team members from departments within the company and from outside sources when necessary. A project manager will be prepared to see a project through final acceptance of the end user. This position should be the single point of contact for all inquiries regarding the project status, both from within the company and externally.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Performs contract review on new customer orders per requirements of ISO 9001 and applicable company.
• Develops and maintains project schedule for complete order.
• Coordinates activities of the marketing, engineering, manufacturing and service groups as it pertains to the project.
• Submits project status reports to TIC management and to the customers as requested.
• Manages communication by being point of contact for communications regarding projects.
• Writes and distributes meeting minutes and other project related communication.
• Works with purchasing and engineering on procurement activities.
• Efficiently resolves conflict within organization and externally.
• Coordinates resolution of commercial and technical problems related to the project-by working with customer, sales and other departments as necessary.
• Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner.
• Other duties assigned as necessary by management.
Preferred Education/Experience:
• Project Management experience preferred; any experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment helpful.
• Proven conflict resolution skills
• Familiarity with project management tools desirable
• Previous exposure to finance, legal and engineering groups helpful
• Bachelor’s Level Degree in Electrical Engineering
Skills and Experience:
• 3-5 years experience as a project team member
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Travel – when necessary to ensure Customer Satisfaction
• Bachelor’s Level Degree in Electrical Engineering
