The position can be very demanding because you are on call and you will get called at night. Most of the positions are on a rotation of 4 on 4 off or some sort of swap with a partner for 12hr days 6-6 or 7-7. The days you don't work you are not on call. In this position you will gain large amounts of industry knowledge and have responsibility for multi million dollar accounts. The pay range usually for the logistics/scheduling analyst is 40-50k.

Responsibilities: •Promotes safety and regulatory compliance.
•Familiar and in compliance with FDA, DOT, and other Government compliance requirements.

•Responsible for identifying specific opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and timely delivery within the Bulk Distribution group.
•Responsible for developing and implementing solutions to specific problems within the scheduling and logistics environment.
•Responsible for supporting the analysis of existing processes, transactions, and business systems for the Bulk Distribution group.
•Evaluates and designs scheduling and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency.
•Researches and analyzes delivery methods, and delivery schedules to minimize delivery costs and maximize customer satisfaction.
•Understands the role of the system(s) in the big picture and provides ideas and recommendations regarding the evolution of the business systems, i.e. BDS, Teleflo, etc.
•Utilizes computer-based tools effectively (Bulk Distribution System (BDS), Production Planning
•System (PPS), Statistical Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Teleflo, Product Sourcing Model).
•Ensures current and accurate system documentation, coordinates and or performs testing of system modifications and develops, provides or coordinates system training, educational tools and materials.
•Evaluate quantity of distribution resources at depots, and make recommendations of additions or deletions to level of manpower or equipment.
•Evaluate customer storage facilities for optimized sizing. Recommend upgrades or modifications to vessel or facility in order to gain efficiency.
•Acts as a liaison with IT, OCC, and/or outside vendors as appropriate in support of the system(s). Works together with Consultants and Project Managers to ensure the business needs have been met.
•Participates in industry and other professional networks to ensure awareness of industry standards, trends and best practices in order to strengthen organizational and technical knowledge.
•Ability to interact with customer contacts at all levels of organization.
•Will require a close working relationship with Logistics Analysts, Depot Managers, NSC Supervisors, Zone and Corporate Management.

Requirements: •Very high level of analytical ability. Capable of mathematically summarizing complex business problems in a spreadsheet format.
