make sure that you have a strong grasp of calculus and physics. I started off in BMEN, but switched to BIMS because I almost failed both Math 151 and Phys 218. if you don't think you have a strong grasp, but want to be prepared for med school, you can try BIMS. BIMS will actually give you classes that you will see again in med school. anatomy and physiology, just like the vet students take. micro, mammalian genetics (none of that Mendel peas and flies crap), biochem, all that. the electives are diverse, so you can tailor your junior and senior years to what you actually want to do. one word of caution: BIMS is totally a stepping stone degree. you really can't do anything with it by itself. BELIEVE ME, I've tried and now I'm waiting on an acceptance letter to nursing school.
