Its hard to get into that class at registration and I graduate next Dec. Pretty much all the spots are full now, and I don't register til Tues. at 7:30 pm.

Has anyone ever taken it over internet or taped or anything from Tech or a community college? I'm not sure if its possible to do a speech class as distance learning, but I thought I had heard of it before.

I'm thinking either this semester or next summer. I'm interning next summer, so maybe I could squeeze it in then.

Anyone know?

I know a friend who took it at Blinn over the summer. He said it was pretty easy. That's all I know.

I took it at blinn over the summer. I got a B because I forgot to turn in the last assignment. The assignment was worth 10 points and I only needed a 1 to get an A. Anyways, I got a B on 3 of the 4 speeches. The prof I had gave lots of busy work that would bring up your grade if you did it.

I also need to take a COMM class this Spring, but they might be all gone by the time I register, I might try to take it over the summer at Angelina College in Lufkin where I'm from, but if anyone has any info on a correspondence course I would appreciate it as well.

Do not take COMM 203 online/distance-ed. If you ever have to petition the syllabus, it will be denied.

HUH? Petition the syllabus?

We have the TX Common Course Numbering System for this very reason. If it is the equivalent at another public TX university/college it will apply.

Notice I said "IF". If it transfers automatically by number, obviously it's ok. However, many times there is not a common course equivalent to whatever course a student takes, and they have to petition it - and it must meet very specific guidelines.
