My daughter has been contacted about doing an interview for one of the schools she applied to. And I just have a couple of questions for other parents or some of the college advisors that are on here.

Should she wear a suit or what is the expected attire? Should she be prepared with questions for the interviewer? What should she be prepared for?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Had a buddy doing an in home MIT interview and his family cat stumbled into the room and died loudly on the floor between them.

I'd advise against doing that.

Thankfully nothing like that happened. My daughter's interview was for MIT and it had to be in a public spot like a library or coffee shop. Her interview lasted a little over an hour and she felt like it went well.

My son's interview with Yale was almost identical. They met at a coffee shop, and then spent an hour walking and talking around downtown.

There are a lot of YouTube videos giving suggestions on what to expect and how to prepare for such an interview.
