I recently submitted my application for external transfer admission into Mays for Summer 2016. The application period opened on January 1 and ends on March 1. When should applicants be contacted with admission decisions?

Each academic dept. makes their own decisions on transfers to A&M. As a result, the timeline can vary widely. You certainly can ask Mays their timeline. It will probably be late spring. The sooner transfer applicants apply, the better the chance to hear a little sooner. When Mays notifies Admissions of their decision, we will update your AIS page.

I just wanted to update this thread in case this info is useful for anybody in the future. I submitted my application in the first week of January and I was notified today on TAMU's AIS page that I was accepted to Mays.

If you don't mind sharing. What kind of grades/EC's did you have?
I had a 3.95 GPA and completed all of the recommended/additional coursework for Mays apart from MGMT 211. I didn't have anything outstanding as far as extracurricular activities go. EC's ranged from 5-10 hours per year across the last 4 years. I served on two committees at my local school district during high school.

Congrats and welcome to A&M

I just revisited and realized that I skipped over this. Thanks!
