My prof told us at the beginning of class how he distributed grade cut offs during the first lecture. He said "The average of every exam will be the low cut off of a B letter grade, 1 standard deviation above the average will be an A, 2 standard deviations below the average is failing.
So throughout the semester he posted the exam averages and letter grade distribution for each exam on his google sites announcements.
Well now he posted grades and they are not how they should be whatsoever. According to the grade distribution cut offs he's been posting online and the score of my final exam (not using any curve on the final for letter grade distribution) I am 20 points above what should be needed for an A. But on eLearning I have a B. Keep in mind this is a 300 point class so 20 points is quite a bit.
I'm really frustrated because I feel like he lied to us all semester or just decided that too many people had high grades?
