What's the toughest elective you took at A&M, and what has been the best? (Not necessarily easiest, but most enjoyable)

Taking CSCE 441 (graphics) right now and it's kicking my ass. Just an insane amount of work. I mean I've busted my ass and have only managed a 76% average on the projects so far. Did terrible on my midterm so not even in the C range right now.

Also 420 (AI) has been a big tougher than I expected. Projects are tough, but the tests aren't too horrible.

Graphics with Dr. Keyser? Yeah, that's a bit of a ridiculous class. Ton of work.

I'm taking Operating Systems with Dr. Bettati right now, and its extremely difficult. Code that low level is just...evil.

Toughest elective still doesn't touch 313 with Loguinov last semester. The C I made in that class is the crowning achievement of my academic career.

As for recommended electives, I'm taking Wireless and Mobile Systems with Dr. Stoleru, and I'm really enjoying it. I also hear Algorithms with Dr. Welch isn't so bad (I'm taking it next semester). Software Engineering is apparently easy as well.

Yep, that's the one. Just a much heavier workload than I anticipated.

I had to take 313 with Ward as part of my degree plan and it was hell, though maybe not quite as bad as Louginov.

Will look into your suggestions, thanks.

Computer science.

Top (easiest) to bottom (hardest)
[1-Most enjoyable to 7-least enjoyable]

[4] 438. Distributed Objects Programming - The easy guy (useful, but he didn't make the class challenging at all... boring)
[3] 436. Computer-Human Interaction - Hammond
[7] 431. Software Engineering - Lively (a joke and a waste of time)
[2] 310. Database Systems - Jiang
[6] 420. Artificial Intelligence - Shell (he tried, boring)
[5] 411. Design and Analysis of Algorithms - Klappenecker (those proofs sure come in handy on a daily basis these days--not)
[1] 462. Microcomputer Systems - Liu (mistake at first to have enrolled, hardest by far, meant for CE majors, lived in the lab, incredibly rewarding to see how far I had pushed myself)
