Kind of weird. Tweet indicates law enforcement helped make the decision. But law enforcement has come out and said they found not credible threat.

It is confusing, but clearly the police say there was a bomb threat. They investigate and did not find a bomb, but BOK security and Ella's security decided to cancel. Seems reasonable to me, although pretty conservative.

Unfortunately - this may lead to more similar "threats" if they want to harm Ella and her fans.

I can genuinely say I have never heard a single song of hers that I know of, and I do not know who she is. A quick Google reveals that she's pretty hot though, in kind of a strange way, but I certainly would.

Is it really that surprising that a large number of people don't pay attention to country or pop or even worse, pop country? People have other interests ya know. Statements like yours always crack me up.

I only know about her because of a hot or not thread in the E board. Entertaining thread I participated in, btw. Still hasn't spurred enough interest in me to google even one of her songs. I care that little about country.

I didn't realize it had broken Mariah Carey's chart record. That's impressive.

I'm not exactly hip to new music, but the song has been hard to avoid for most of 2026. Any restaurant or bar I go to that plays music, i'll hear it at least once while I'm there. I've seen old people dance to it while a local cover band of experienced musicians played it.

I've never listened to country music and likely never will. Same for rap, k-pop, pop, etc. Not stating this as a brag or flex, just pointing out that musical tastes vary and what is a monster song for you can be unknown to someone who doesn't care for the genre.

Story time - back when I was on campus (80's) it was customary conversation to name where you were from. When I replied "Amarillo", I had a couple of folks start singing the line "Amarillo by morning..." and I had no idea why or what they were referencing. Weird... Finally asked why people kept doing that and discovered (eventually) that it just happened to be the runaway #1 hit song in the country and had been for a while. I had no idea it even existed because I was into album rock. YMMV
