We do not hate some of our officials / government enough

this was inevitable. Teen boys were using AI to create and share (fake) nude photos of their classmates years ago and I don't believe there was any legal recourse.

I might be thinking of a different case but I'm pretty sure the judges made it very clear the think its awful, but it's just currently allowed as the law has been construed.

Eitherway, we need to make laws explicitly against this and the SC needs to back those laws up.

Yes, it is awful and SHOULD be illegal, but the judge followed the current version of the law.

Definitely need to get some new legislation against this type of AI generation.

Media outlets publish articles like this as clickbait and bury the important information. People jump on it and become angry because they are told to become angry.

They dismissed one charge of possession due to a quirk in the way the specific "possession" law is written and how it's been interpreted.

Receipt, transmission, and production of these computer-generated images are illegal under federal law and remain so.

The charges related to the production and transmission of the images were upheld.

He is going to trial. He will be convicted.
