The H-1B visa is exclusively linked to a designated employer, a particular job position, and a specific work site. It is not permissible to utilize an active H-1B status sponsored by one organization to work for another employer or in a different unapproved position without submitting a formal transfer request. Unless the job is extremely technical, hire an intelligent kid out of highschool and teach/train that individual how to do the task how your company wants the task to be completed.

You are missing the point or are just being naive.

Companies know what they are doing. By requiring 5 years for an entry level job, they are effectively keeping American kids out of the job pool. So then they can claim to DoL that Americans are dumbos and so they need to bring in Kumar and Vikay in as we need their skills and talents. This way they don't have to pay 3 years of employee taxes they save hiring a foreigner. His work may be crap and the CEO doesn't care as he will be gone in a few years onto a better job.

That led to the gaming of the system where Indian shell companies would charge a large fee from the person who lose his job in exchange for an H1B filing. There was no work they had to do. They could stay in the country fooling immigration.

Now Trump is killing the 60 day. Once this clears process, you lose, you snooze (in your own home country).

It's disgusting because it's prepared by Indians who never follow any basic hygiene practices or mandated restaurant safety codes. You cannot trust the food to not make you sick at all.

Maybe. But who cares. The more they are abused the more they will hate being here and more likely to leave.
I am way past caring about "rights" of H1Bs at this point. They don't care about Americans at all.

This is a good deterrence for people to stay away and not come here.

A housing crash is coming in H1B rich areas like almost all big cities. Brace yourselves.

The sixty day grace period creates a race to the bottom for H-1Bs looking for a new employer to sponsor their visa. They'll take any job to avoid losing their status which stagnates wage growth and starting salaries for entry level positions.

Was just discussing the 60-day thing with an H-1B here, an Indian guy (who I happen to personally like). The company is going through major changes, and I feel something is going to happen in the not-to-distant future. And if he keeps his job and I don't, I won't be that upset. The big fat check I would stand to get definitely enters into the situation.

It's sounds like you're in a good position to weather that storm but there's a good chance that there's an American at your company that's about to get the worst professional news of their life. H1-Bs should always be the first to go during any restructuring/reorganization.

Coriander
Garam Masala
Fennel seeds

This guy telling his followers to scam the US immigration system by filing for O-1 visa (extraordinary ability).
How do they get it when 99% of them are average or mediocre? By gaming the system again. There are consultancies popping up all over which can "help you" get it by creating a track record to fool USCIS and DOJ. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a bunch of backoffice guys in Hyderabad creating artifiacts which they will recycle for each O-1 applicant with minor variations.

Reminds me of 18 years ago, my large employer hired TCS and they came in a large group of 40 into our offices. I was in charge of writing code for an investment product. They pitched management that they could do a better job and were given the go-ahead. All they did was take my exact code and my business logic, add a UI wrapper on top of it and claim it to be their own. They are so dumb that they did not even change the comments in the log files, I could recognize them to be mine. I asked a developer and he just grinned. That was 2008 and here we are in 2026.

Interviewed an O-1 with his PhD in India and post doc in the US. Absolutely terrible. The 0-1 Visa is a joke. He had a ton of publications and 'reviewer' for obscure tiny journals and publications. Couldn't answer very basic questions in his discipline.

Cumin - Tex-Mex Staple

Coriander - Don't think it's bad. Not well versed on the flavor.

Garam Masala - I know even less on this flavor.

Fennel Seeds - Burn them with fire. They are gross and hate it when they are added to ground sausage.

Curry - Just plain gross. Can't point to a specific ingredient. All admit that I most likely have not tried every variety or ethnic version of curry however.

I appreciate the well thought out response.

Japanese curry is fine once in a while. But most Indian curries are a slop. No thanks.
