... and the libs have finally read, planned, and in the process of fully implementing it. Surprised it took this long but, I still see hope, albeit only a glimmer, that it won't succeed.

Should be required high school reading along with Animal Farm. I doubt it is anymore.

Both were required reading for my daughter.
2 years later, when my other kids went through the exact same class, both those books were "replaced" with books by minority authors.
The original English teacher quit and left Austin ISD. They replaced her with a woke commie.

I like Orwell and I love his books, but, one also must remember something he said. According to Orwell, every word he wrote was in an effort to further socialism.
He was trying to be the conscience of the movement. He wasn't trying to destroy it.

"I never said no wars!" ie "the Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears"
Of course the only problem is all attempts at "pure" communism get corrupted. Human nature being what it is, the attempts always devolve into totalitarianism.techno-ag said:Martels Hammer said:

Orwell was a "pure" communist in the vein of Trotsky. He felt the Bolsheviks ruined things and most of his warnings dealt with them. To the end he felt that pure communism was the ideal.

Yup. It's hilarious watching each extreme of the political spectrum swear up and down that 1984 is a critique of "the other team", and not their team.

Bro your party tells you believe men can get pregnant and that men in dresses are women and if you fail to comply with the Doublethink you are cancelled. You don't want to play this game
