Quote:

BREAKING: The Chicago Bulls are waiving Jaden Ivey after he spoke out against the NBA for promoting 'Pride Month' and unrighteousness, according to ESPN.

Ivey recently announced that he was alive in Christ.

"They proclaim Pride Month in the NBA. They show it to the world. They say, 'Come join us for Pride Month to celebrate unrighteousness.'"

"They proclaim it on the billboards, they proclaim it in the streets, unrighteousness."

He said nothing wrong.

Personally, haven't watched an NBA game in over 10 years. But I do get a kick out of the complete hypocrisy of waiving a guy for his Christian views while still remaining silent on the atrocities in China so they don't lose access to the market.

Just remember boys and girls, don't speak if your beliefs don't align with the liberal 'protected' classes.

Or pushing a movement that is INCREDIBLY unpopular with your primary audience because you live in terror of a bunch of people who don't consume your product. Or "Target Syndrome" as I call it

Proud of you Jayden. Courage and commitment is something this country needs. Not fear of a loud minority.

Kinda crazy considering Pete Buttigege received zero percent of the black vote in a presidential poll just recently. I think if the woke administration polled the NBA players with a secret vote they may receive a nasty surprise.

So he made some public comments that made his employer mad, don't we support the free market and employers' ability to hire and fire as they see fit?

No one in this thread is questioning the employers ability to hire and fire.
Also, Satans gay mafia is anything but the free market.

No problem with the rights of his employer. We're celebrating the courage of the player. Understand?

Proud of Ivey for being committed to holiness and calling a sin a sin.

He is being persecuted for being a Christian but Jesus said this would happen here on earth.

No, they're saying support what we want you to and dare not have a dissenting well founded Christian thought.

More like they're saying "shut up and support things you have a moral objection to"

If the NBA supported Charlie Kirk and some player came out in opposition, you'd be celebrating that player

You think an organization should be able to fire an employee for their religious beliefs? Been living under a rock since 1963?

It has been posted dozens if not hundreds of times on this board that a certain religious group shouldn't be allowed in the United States, so it makes sense that he can get fired for his. You know, the whole goose/gander thing.

Yeah this is like Colin Kaepernick is out of the NFL for kneeling. He wasn't good enough to have views that a vast majority of the population disagrees with.

Get over it. Plenty of Christians in the NBA who aren't getting cut.

As an NFL GM once said. "If Hannibal Lecter ran a 4.3 40 we'd probably diagnose it as an eating disorder"

I don't know if publicly accusing your employer of being a wicked organization falls entirely under this protection.

Now that's a non sequitur of epic proportions. Who is advocating for discriminating against Muslims currently in the country? At least you're somewhat being honest that you're okay with unequal protection under the law for Christians because your perceived political adversaries are against unfettered immigration. Solid logic.

No doubt. As pointed out already, he may just not be good (honestly don't know). I only take issue with the one poster who apparently thinks it is okay to fire people for their religious beliefs if they offend him.

NBA has been unwatchable for a long time. Props to Jaden for voicing his beliefs when the NBA pushed theirs on him.

It would be awesome if he gets picked up somewhere. I'd imagine his jersey becomes a top seller.
