[This is a good thread and a lot of trolling and derailing has been cleaned up. -Staff]
Howdy guys. This is my first post on a brand new account, but I have been a Texags lurker since the late 90s, and my daughter is a sophomore in College Station currently. Hopefully that proves my ties to the community enough for some of yall. Anyway, I recently started a Texas history channel on Youtube and just released a video with my idea for who belongs on a Mount Rushmore of Texas. I know there are history buffs in here and I thought it would be fun to see the names debated, and if i get a couple extra views on my channel that would be awesome too. To prove i am not just trying to drive traffic to Youtube, here is my list:
1. Stephen F. Austin
2. Sam Houston
3. Jack Hays
4. Juan Seguin
5. Quanah Parker
I doubt there will be much disagreement about 1 and 2. Interested to see what yall's thoughts are. Oh yeah, politics related because Austin, Houston, and Seguin were all politicians, just a really long time ago (and the history board barely gets any traffic
Here is the video in case anyone is interested in watching: If you do choose to watch it I would love to get some feedback. I am new to the whole video making thing so everything is a learning experience right now. Thanks yall
