You go to the gas station and there are still illegals buying beers and throwing them in their backpacks. They don't seem worried. We still have a bunch of them coming across. The girl at the counter told me that she still gets a ton of them coming through. This is in Hondo, Texas.

Is Hondo really SOUTH Texas? And it's a lot closer to SA than the border...

Could just be the normal crowd of Mexicans and illegals that already lived in the area...

Yes. North of 90 is Edward's plateau. South of 90 is Eduardo's plateau.

Yawn. If this were truly the case, the liberal networks would be all over it saying " see, Trump hasn't closed the border" to counter the shumer shutdown.

You misunderstand me. I really like Trump and I want his team here in my town apprehending these illegals and sending them back.

I won"t believe this is being handled correctly until the emptying of all of the Colonias owned by $$$$ Gov. Abbott supporters happens. Until then everything is just talk. Those colonias are filled with illegals.

And cartels. The San Jacinto County Sherriff said there were four they know about operating in Colony Ridge. I never heard if Abbott gave back the $1.5 million the Colony Ridge developer and his wife gave him, lol

I think they are trying to depopulate the bluest urban areas first. This has much to do with cutting democrat power bases to limit their ability to fight back.
The best way to keep evil men from wielding great power is to not create great power in the first place.

We have so many illegals in Texas, I'm ready for the Border Patrol or ICE to take care of business.

What funds the cartels and are linked to illegals?

Drugs and illegal activities. You don't simply shut down activities in Texas and call it a day. Texas will always be a hub due to location. You gradually disassemble their satellite operations while tracing back to the source before dealing death blows to the organizations who have facilitated the illegals (beyond the Biden admin). Also, this would be the likely reason that we havent yet brought a fight to Mexico. If we haven't removed or crippled their operations beyond Texas and in Texas itself, it'd be foolish to strike at their Mexican bases due to them being able to flee into and strike within the United States as a response

…and ~100+ miles closer to the border than it is from College Station. So what is your point? Are we really arguing semantics. That area of SOUTH Texas is PLAUGED with bail outs and illegals just walking through their ranches and causing so much damage. I would know I am from D'Hanis originally. People do not feel safe.

Well, is Dallas in South Texas? It's a **** ton south of the panhandle...

It's not semantics. Hondo is central/west Texas. Just because it's somewhat close to Mexico doesn't make it SOUTH Texas..

And what evidence do you have that they are CURRENTLY "PLAUGED (sic) with bail outs and illegals just walking through their ranches and causing so much damage"?

Meh...

There are still **** tons of illegals that have been in south/west Texas for a long time. I'm not saying they're "safe"...

Actually living in the area, I always referred to it as South Central Texas, but arguing this is missing the entire point of OG's post. While we are fine with and know and have lived beside and broken bread with "the normal crowd of Mexicans…" we do not have to accept the "…illegals" and the crime and such they bring with them.

Two things: A) Hondo is in South Central Texas. B) Just talked to my cousin who from D'hanis who manages a large ranch in the area, and his brother also manages an even larger multiple location ranch in the area and he said there is not anywhere near the traffic there was before January. In his words, there's really no illegal traffic anymore on the ranch he manages. Take it for what it's worth.

My cousin has a house in town. He also has a wife and his son in school there, and I would say it's more than some ranch. But you do you, I'll trust his opinion.

The whole point of my original post is that we arent seeing the feds going after the illegals here in South Texas. They are doing a great job in other parts of the country, but there are still a ton of them coming through. I saw one of them just tonight, and he didnt have a care in the world.

BS. I was South of the checkpoint below Hebronville in September. Bird hunted on a ranch I'd hunted on 30 years before. I know the guide who has leased that same ranch for 43 years now. And he leases several other ranches around Hebronville, in a 30 mile radius. He's there 6 months out of the year, September thru February. He hunts, guides, and has many cameras out around the ranches.

He said since January 2025, this is the first time in 43 years he has had NO encounters with illegals on the ranches. Zero, after having regular problems for the previous 42 years, and every type of encounter you can imagine. He is Thrilled.

They are not coming across the border in that area.

Those aren't illegals. Those are the parents of 75% of the public school population in Texas

How is this supposed to be evidence of new people coming in? There's obviously still a ton of illegals in the country. They didn't all just disappear.

Also, how do you know these people are illegals? Do you yell "la migra" at them to see if they run?

We still don't have a proper border. We might never at this point.
