Government healthcare reminds me of the scene in "Tommy Boy" when Tommy is reminding the buyer why putting a guarantee on the box doesn't mean a damn thing. It makes you feel good that it's there but when it comes time to back it up, the crazy glue-sniffing guarantee-fairy sneaks into your house and the next thing you know, your daughter is knocked up and there's money missing off the dresser.

My Canadian friends that haven't gotten *really* sick love universal healthcare but the first sign of a delay in care when the s*** really hits the fan, they're suddenly bleeding all over Facebook about it.

No Europeans I know come here for their healthcare and overwhelming they all love their socialist systems. The Scandinavian countries, which are among the highest taxed, have commiserately high levels of public opinion. My premiums when living in one of those systems for a few years was still much less than they've even been in the US.
