I think it is because he doesn't want Trump to get credit for something Biden was ready to do and never had a chance to execute.his plan.

Could be personal or health reasons. Worst case scenario is on the take and got caught.

Also possible that he was opposed to the policy and did not want to carry it out. I would disagree with that view.

But IF that's the reason, I can respect it. Much more honest and admirable than the General Milley types who keep the job/prestige/paycheck, and undercut the CinC behind the scenes.

the fact that Hegseth praised him on the way out the door would indicate it was not because of corruption or criminal behavior

but more of difference of opinion on any number of issues

could be he wanted to strike even more Venezuelan targets.

I am thinking the cartel war angle has a lot more to do with it. The cartels are known for going after the families of the people leading the fight against them.

Of course they make it about race, they always do. And the guy stepped down from what I understand he wasn't fired. Unless it was one of those forced resignations, but again everything does not have to do with race, but the left always tries to make it so. It's exhausting.
