The shoe has been on the other foot, when Pelosi was Speaker. From the same article:

Johnson has been clear on this. Opening up allows for all sorts of nonsense to occur that simply is not needed.

Johnson said they had a team out looking at Epstein documents I believe in NYC. Pretending the shutdown relates to Epstein is our Epstein Delusionment Syndrome and people desperately trying to satisfy their need for tabloid fodder.

They had 4 years to release the documents, they didn't.

If it was so important why didn't they release?

At this point it really doesn't matter, it won't add jobs, it won't cut the debt, it won't cut healthcare costs.

Start worrying about the things that really matter not the things you think might make another politician look bad. This is why the Dems ratings are so low!

What is to negotiate? The House passed a clean funding resolution. The Senate needs to do so.

The shutdown is about continued funding of the government. Why don't democrats want the government open? Why do they want to fund healthcare for illegals and millions in fraud and graft?

Trump seems to be negotiating just fine at the moment. What have the Dems offered in way of compromise to Trump and the Rs?

The Rs have offered a discussion on healthcare subsidies much to the chagrin of the broad MAGA base. What have the Dems offered?

Will you congratulate Trump if he agrees to 25% of the $1.5T the Dems are demanding as a successful negotiation? I mean, he talked them down 75% in that scenario, so that would be YUGE, no?

Me thinks the comment on Trump being a bad negotiator was not well considered.
