Steve Cohen is pretty much a worthless idiot run of the mill Dem who has managed to retain his Congressional seat for a long time, but he is generally not far far left. This guy Justin Pearson who is challenging him in the primary is a far left outspoken prog who has gained notoriety for his antics in the TN state house for being highly disruptive particularly during a gun control fight after the Nashville trans school shooting where he was expelled from his seat and re-elected in a special election. He's also been highly involved in objecting to federal law enforcement presence recently in Memphis.
Not sure of his chances but they are likely fairly good that he could unseat Cohen.
