FYI, painting the cars out here at this eyesore is a common thing. There's a spray paint concession out there, for Pete's sake. So this may last 5 minutes, or 5 days, but it is temporary.

Holy smokes! My sons and I have been out there and this must have taken a small army a couple of hours at least to complete this. They did a great job with only one color as to cover up the 50-100 colors on those cars was definitely an undertaking. I would bet this was done at night because during the day there are just too many people.

Originally, they were buried at the same angle as the pyramids.

They were moved further west several years ago due to the expansion of Amarillo.

Still at that angle. I knew a guy worked for tourism in Amarillo, and (weirdo) Stanley Marsh had copyrighted the image of the cars as taken from the side and showing the angle.

He would not allow the city of Amarillo to publish a photo of the cars taken from 90 degrees
