This tweet absolutely nails it, and I think this applies to every perspective and ideology. Communists, Islamists, and a growing number of progressive fall at the bottom of this list, but none of them are themselves as the villain. Every one of them can just their hate and lust for power somehow.

If she really wants to explode some more lib heads she should tweet that Dumbledore wasn't gay and Voldemort collaborated with the Nazis

J.K. Rowling is a great Twitter follow.

She does battle with T people every day.

She's a TERF and proud of it.

And with her bankroll, she can't be shouted down.

Considering she lives in England…..this is a very brave statement. England isn't exactly the free speech bastion their government claims they are…I hope she isn't arrested.

I'd be terrified if I were JK Rowling or Riley Gaines right now. The trans-tifa folks are wildly triggered. Hopefully they have some serious retired special forces operators in their security details.

I think she's kind of above that. Like others have said, she has FU money and a very high celebrity status. She's probably fine unless she makes direct calls for violence.

What is being scared and terrified going to do ?

When we were on our Alaskan Cruise this June in Glacier Bay, the captain announced that her yacht was the one that could be seen in the bay, and confirmed that she was on board. Not a bad way to ensure your safety.

When they passed one of the nonsense laws regarding mean tweets, she doubled down on them. Dared them to arrest her.

Her rationale was simple…arrest me, and I have the money to make this a show trial and embarrass everyone.

Or, don't arrest me, when I am very clearly and purposefully violating this law, and you give everyone else that you DO arrest an opportunity to show selective enforcement of the law.

Did you somehow miss that the whole Harry Potter series was a metaphor for WWII, and the Death-eaters literally ARE the Nazis? Voldemort, the half-blood obsessed with purebloods, is Hitler.

Tell me you have never read Harry Potter without telling me you have never read Harry Potter.

She was red-pilled while she was still a mediocre Literature lecturer at a no-name English college.
It takes a special kind of brainwashed useful idiot to politically defend government fraud, waste, and abuse.

It is a very loose allegory, and just applies to that cycle in society, not specifically WWII. Very Inkling of her.

You're right, and citizens of the UK are being arrested every day for much less than this. But I hope she is arrested - that might be the spark that forces the normal people to stand up to the elitists and change their system.

And yet we have a number of people on this site that want to do exactly the opposite of what she is saying and think they are conservatives. I don't think most of them recognize it though.

Well for one thing even the most bad ass among us is motivated by real justifiable fear, right ? So they enhance their skill sets and harden their environments even if they get high on their own adrenaline. People with zero fear are mentally ill. Fear in the right amount and in the right situation is a survival mechanism prompting action.

Not just here and it is not just a conservative thing. Fundamentalist thinking (per her framework) is probably what most folks are guilty of and that has transformed what you used to be debate and dialogue into just a sparring match for points.

No argument from me. A large percentage of society wants to silence those that disagree with them. That is the thing I liked most about Charlie Kirk was he was doing everything he could to bring back discussion of competing ideas in a civil, public setting. I remember at A&M having a lot of discussions, some of them heated, where people's minds were changed. In many cases, everyone realized we were all wrong.

no one wants to silence anyone you are however responsible for the speech you put in the public square ie social media not very difficult to understand.

Another recent X post:

Quote:

Words are not violence. When you pretend that views that oppose your own are violence, you are justifying the use of actual violence towards the speaker.

Gender ideology's reliance on tropes and slogans like 'words are violence', its constant rationalisation and justification of using force against opponents and its preference for enforcing compliance through fear rather than permitting debate, are straight out of fascism's playbook.

'The function of propaganda is . . . not to weigh and ponder the rights of different people, but exclusively to emphasize the one right which it has set out to argue for. Its task is not to make an objective study of the truth, in so far as it favors the enemy, and then set it before the masses with academic fairness; its task is to serve our own right, always and unflinchingly.'

The words are Hitler's, but I must have seen trans activists say the same thing, barely rephrased, a thousand times. Your movement seeks to remove rights from others. It is anti-truth and critical thinking, pro-violence, pro-dehumanisation of those who disagree with you, and you are so lacking in self-awareness you cannot see that you are precisely what you pretend to hate.

Go look at a lot of posts on Texags that disagree with your comment. Many comments posted from liberals who want to silence conservative voices carte Blanche (not specific comments) and vice versa. Many specific comments are usually discussed with commebts that what was said isn't protected speech under the first amendment and that person should be prosecuted.

Many people in today's society want to silence those that disagree with them via legal threats. Our AG said she wanted to prosecute "hate speech" before having to reverse course based on backlash from multiple sides.

PS. Yes I understand speech can be illegal in very limited situations like saying fire in a crowded theater and if you libel someone and can prove it, it can be a civil lawsuit but the vast majority of these claims aren't even close to that.

Since it is a made up word from the land of fantasy thinking, you can't be blamed for not knowing what it is.

TERF = trans exclusionary radical feminist

It was another phrase made up by the Tinkerbells to codify their hate towards anyone who doesn't think like them, profess a belief in them, or clap for their existence.
WaltonAg18

There is nothing illegal about shouting fire in a movie theater, that is an outdated example often misused, which was overturned by a later court case (Bradenburg v Ohio). The speech must be directed towards imminent lawless action and be likely to cause it.

This isn't to say anything regarding slander or libel, but specifically towards referring to calls for violence as "hate speech".
No one should have to work to survive. Your right to life should not depend solely on your ability to produce capital.

I know this has already been answered but, my answer is:
Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist

Which in practicality means that when she proclaims that a woman with a pen15 is still a man, the hatemongers in the LGBT and Ally community come after her for her "hate".

How can she be so backwards and so full of hate to believe that a man who says he is a woman is not a woman?

Otherwise, she's your everyday feminist who pushes for women's rights, etc. Except for when it comes to this T-people situation.

Pretty much every single day she gets so much hate on her Twitter posts, calls to boycott her books, especially the new ones where she's using the pen name Robert Galbraith.

Here's a typical sample from yesterday. Enjoy: (didn't realize this one was already posted on this thread)

again first amendment protection from government, private business can regulate your speech if you are there employee and even to an extent a government employee, not difficult

Help me understand if you are fired from your job from speech can you not continue speaking your mind?

I agree private employers absolutely have the right to take action based on what employees say and they absolutely should have that right but that isn't relevant to the OP's post from JK or my original comment.

I stand by a lot of people on both sides of the aisle want people to be punished criminally (and in extreme cases killed) for what they say in public because it disagrees with their views. To think otherwise is to not listen or read what is being said frequently in society today.
