I've long thought that the Dem strategy of "oppressed" identity politics was going to ultimately backfire on them.
It began with telling hispanics and blacks that they are permanently oppressed and the Dems are the only ones looking out for them. Then came the muslim community. Then, the illegal aliens, regardless of whether they had any intention of assimilating into society or if they just came to cause trouble. Then, LGB community, and most recent, the Trans community, by promising women's sports and locker rooms to them and allowing the worst of their community to recruit at will from the youngest of our children.
Now, many hispanics, who are as a whole a religous and God fearing group and members of the Catholic faith, are seeing the far left as much more damaging to them that the party they were told were racists. They also are becoming more resentful of the millions of illegals allowed into the country to complete for their jobs when they themselves did it the right way.
Many in the black community are realizing that the left doesn't actually care about them, especially if they are the subject of the violence of other blacks. They've been invited to rationalize that racism is the cause of all the problems in the black community, but more and more are realizing the simple fact that the destruction of the nuclear family and the lack of strong male positive influences are the real causes of the problems they face.
Most muslims have no use for the LGBTQ+ community and would as soon throw them off a building as they would stand by their side.
Dems have created a patchwork of "oppressed" that do not play well together. And it is now falling apart.
