Starts by talking about the strict rules of engagement they followed in Iraq against actual murderous evil people and how we did that because of our ideals. Talks about how easy it is to brainwash people today. You no longer have to physically remove them from their daily lives and support networks. you can do it through a phone. Really does explain the mass psychosis we see so prevalent and the radicalization we have today. Jocko says the only way to fight the radicalization is personal connections. Cast out the darkness that feeds the radicalization. "Listen to people not pixels" "Do your utmost to walk in the light and the principles that founded our great nation"

I've been thinking along these lines for a while now. I am really afraid that outside Divine intervention, our only way out will come down to violent conflict. We've seen it historically over and over that the only thing that breaks that mindset is oceans of blood spilled. We are teetering and may have already tipped.

God loves you so much He'll meet you where you are. He also loves you too much to allow to stay where you are.

We sing Hallelujah! The Lamb has overcome!

Just good ole social conditioning. Nothing new or profound. And TA is not exempt either. Far from it even. Whether we want to admit it or not.

I appreciate his optomism and obviously everything he has done for this country, but it's a pipe dream imo. Oh, you want them to listen to you? Only way that happens is if you start agreeing with their insanely ridiculous positions, which thery are COMPLETELY dug in on. Even the most reasonable and logical of all leftists, the mentally ill mid-upper class white soccer mom, has been completely captured and compromised ideologically.

I recommend the opposite, do not even let your children play with theirs. At the very best, every liberal things you are stupid for not voting the way they do and supporting the things they do. But the vast majority think you are downright evil/racist/bigoted for not doing so. Good luck with finding ANY common ground or having any type of productive conversation unless it is completely apolitical.

I am guessing Jocko hasn't been around many leftists lol.

I think most of us have remained pretty damn consistent in our views since the 90's. If anything, we are MORE Liberal...i.e. FAR LESS war hawkish, and the vast majority think it's silly to outlaw MJ, and even psychadelics that might help people carrying the weight of extreme trauma/anxiety/depression/addiction. I am ashamed that I supported the war in Iraq back in college.

THE LEFT CHANGED FOR THE WORSE. WE CHANGED FOR THE BETTER. Look where it got us. They are now the pro-war party.

Oh, I agree. Hence my worry about the probable outcome of more widespread violence. I think this is hitting a lot of people square in the face that are just now realizing they've been dehumanized by a large swathe of the left in this country. They will have to work through the thinking process many of us have been going through since covid or before.

Yep. This country feels completely unsustainable...they would never even let us peacefully divorce if we wanted to. I'm praying for miracles, that leftists will somehow magically stop being hate fueled anti-Christ ghouls...but I am also mentally prepping ang and "collecting" certain items.

The last 5 years has woken many of us the hell up. You cannot reason with these people or just agree to disagree. It;s infuriating but also sad.

Nor left politicians or Professors or Press. Problem here is it is NOT only "pixels" -- it is indeed the main voices of the DNC and MSM. If every time you heard the "pixels" of social media say something rotten and threatening and instead the Democratic leadership and MSM was indistinguishable from the center and right from condemning and wanting it marginalized, much of this would not be happening.

Instead, they have created a situation where it is hard to talk to liberal bent -- they start pre-programmed with "orange man bad" "next Hitler" "multiple felon" (completely ignorant of NY's entirely fabricated crimes charges as embarrassing in their arrogance as any Stalin trial or the Freisler July 20 trials in the Third Reich (that had a happy ending at least - B-17s nailed him and court-house in '45) So you have even sensible liberals starting with a presumption of what term `blizzard of lies'. So its hard to do what Jocko is calling for, because it is NOT just `pixels'. Its actual seemingly unaccountable leadership and media heads.

This.

EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT US SENATOR supports biological males in my daughter's sports and even her showers and locker rooms.

The fringe has become mainstream and I am only shocked by how few people it is scaring away from the Dem party. People like Rogan, Tulsi, Eric and Bret Weinstein seem to be the exceptions, which is incredibly frustrating. In any sane and reasonable country, the modern democrat party would be on it's death bed.

Best way to get it fixed is to continue to tell men like Jocko that it can't be done.

In an ideal world the social media websites would create a system that cross links clips to source material. So a 30 second clip on X would be appended with a 10 minute source video from YouTube that provides context. Would allow some subset of individuals to rapidly reference the context that a statement was made and correct the misrepresentation, even better if the clip could be rapidly expanded to include the context.

Would also mitigate the effectiveness of AI generated content creating false narratives, because clips without sources would be viewed with more skepticism.

Call it the Very Fine People initiative.

Sort of a video version of the "Community Notes" approach, or a "Living footnote" --- neat idea.

Except automated through image recognition, and left as a benign "This is where this video came from." link rather than adding clarifications of what was really said. Leave the arguments up to the comment section rather than the system dictating.

Then if community notes determines that it was thoroughly misrepresentative enough of what was actually said the community can vote to create a note. As it is right now you have to actually figure out where the source video is to even check the validity of the editing, automating that discovery would go a long way to ending misrepresentation. Media Matters would go out of business.

There's no putting that genie back in the bottle. Unfortunately, the very people that are the most impressionable are the ones without any kind of social support net to keep them based in reality. This isn't even a US problem - it's worldwide. When it only takes one person to cause such a devastating event what can you really do? I dont disagree with anything he said but it also isn't a realistic solution to anything other than feels. His message could reach 99% of the world population but it still wouldn't be enough.

After thinking more on this, one of the problems with his framework is around 40% of dems (lib are far left) according to a new yougov poll see violence as an accebtable means to their political ends. If you include moderates in that number it pushes it to almost 50% (47%) They do not view being an American as a noble thing...they do not believe in the founding principles or unity with us at all. This is why I was saying many are just now coming to the realization of where we are. We are getting into the 8th stage on the way to genocide

But not the disarmed phase. That's why, chose Lexington Green or Fort Sumter every time if they force it. Do not disarm.

And why are they so hung about the Axis then --- if they don't see America as a noble thing. Its high time that anti-America view being given even less stature than discussing the values an Islamist is concerned with. They have some framework at least.

The reality is that we are a lot like the Russian citizenry of the early 1900s. We are being conditioned to believe a collectivist government is going to bring fairness and equity. Then, when they get the young people on their side, they will take over and you get USSA. Just as the Russians saw, it will get MUCH MUCH worse here.

Russia was the largest Christian nation in the world. And then, faith was outlawed. And then the useful idiots that helped get Lenin and crew in charge began to disappear, jailed, or killed--they were the examples. Think actors, musicians, journalists, educators, etc...they will all just say the same thing. "We were on your side, we supported you..' and it will mean nothing as they go to a gulag in Alaska or Arizona.

Then we will actually get a Stalin in charge. And millions die at the hands of government policy, military police, and protection of Mother Amerika.

All because the conservative citizenry wouldn't stand up until it was too late. And then you just have to watch everything you have ever worked for or have inherited from your family just disappear in a flash. Now owned by the government or deemed worthless. Kids made to go to certain jobs because the government says so, not because they want to become something great themselves that matters to their heart and mind.

Israel gets what it's like to be surrounded by people that want you dead. The entirety of that country is in a region that has a certain religion that wants them dead. But they fight back and defeat all comers--better intelligence than anyone on Earth, combined with a steel resolve that is also not matched by any Western power at all. But Western Europe and the US/Canada are soft and just full of people who should be strong but will take the attacks and murders by just holding vigils and talking about how wrong the other side is and how ashamed the Left should feel. And they will continue murdering, attacking, looting, and making fun of us to our face, protected by a legal system that won't punish them as they need to be, as well as a knowledge that our principled values will never actually fight back. In short, the Right in the world needs to be more like Israel and less like France or England. But we won't--because it's against our beliefs and our principles.

I believe they are going to try and go for it even without the disarming. The next leftist controlled government is going to be on hyperdrive if recent history is any indication

Some state governors need to organize. Be ready to do group nullification. We do need Texas as Republic on the ballot. Have that tool there.

I think Texas as a Republic is one of the few hopes we have left. In part, because I think Texas has the coast to take advantage of for shipping, land for energy, and tourism dollars. It's very capable to be self-sufficient.

We would draw thousands a month to try and move here from beaten down blue states.

It's why living here in Texas is the single best place to live in the world if you're a conservative. We have toughness and self-reliance as our beliefs and expectations. We won't bow down to liberal idiocy, no matter how hard the Left tries to convince its idiots that its "purple". Ted Cruz has proven that twice, running for reelection. Let the Dems think they can actually win here, finally debate their candidate in October of the election, watch said debate turn into a televised ass-kicking of Dem, then win the election and watch all of the Lib $$$ burn that could have been used somewhere else.

Correct. But we need to work at making the legislature so less the Boehner era federal GOP in having so much not really conservative in it. Needs to be more like Florida. Maybe now is not the time now though to change so much.
