Thread on foreigners working at department of energy's national labs.

How are they getting around ITAR laws? There should be zero foreigners at these places unless they have explicitly defected to the US and renounced their foreign citizenship.

This is suicidal, what are we doing?

Are you serious? How can you be this naive? No foreigner should ever be working at these places, ever. Any place that deals with state secrets should have Americans only and further they should not even be allowed to employ anyone who has dual citizenship unless that person publicly renounces their other citizenship.

Of course I care, my family was on the first group to Jamestown and I can trace lines up and down the founding of this nation. I want to preserve the nation my ancestors built and make it a place my descendants will continue to enjoy.

These labs do not only do classified research. In fact it's generally the opposite. For those that do, you still have to have a security clearance and need to know to access classified areas and information.

I did a project in Los Alamos National Lab last year and passed a group of Chinese men speaking in Chinese. I had to do a double take and thought this can't be good for national security.
