Cornyn's office sent me an email asking for a donation, so I sent them a picture of my receipt sending $25 to Paxton (who I don't even support).

I was just making good on a promise I made them during the Confirmation Hearings to support anyone who primaries that turncoat.

As dirty as Paxton might be, can you imagine the 180 that office will do if he gets in? Give the guy credit he's a bulldog from hell when called upon.

With the shady characters and non-statesman types the Dems are putting in the Senate, it might be best to add a few on the conservative side to balance it out.

The problem is that in a recent poll (per Grok) Cornyn beats Alred by 4pts and Paxton only wins by 2.

Paxton leads Cornyn by 9 in primary poll.

I've seen a couple of national Paxton TV hits during the state Dems run away and he doesn't come off that well. Don't get me wrong, he's a bulldog and I love it. Alred will come off much more polished.

This mentality is why we get stuck with entrenched RINO's like Cornyn. A fear that if we primary the incumbent republican, the democrats will win the general.

Yes. Cornyn sucks, but he's still better than any democrat. Paxton has my vote in the primary unless someone better emerges.

Cornyn's horrible for many reasons. Recall that he voted yes for cloture on the ACA aka Obamacare, allowing only a 50-50 vote. Then he voted no on the bill knowing full well it would pass. Then he campaigns that he was against Obamacare. He's as slimy as they come.

Paxton isn't perfect, and you're right, he's no Ted Cruz. But he'd be a huge improvement over Cornyn. He certainly doesn't mind taking on RINOs and Democrats.
